Simple
Broiled
Tofu


A nice main dish and easy to make. Serve over rice. Click on an Image to Enlarge It

Ingredients:

1 block tofu, extra firm

Teriyaki Marinade

1/3 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
1/4 cup honey
1/3 cup water

Mix the marinade ingredients together in a shallow dish.

Drain and rinse the tofu. Slice it in 1/2-inch thick pieces.

Place the tofu in the marinade. Let sit for about 30 minutes and then flip each piece over. Let sit another 30 minutes.

Cover a baking sheet with foil. Lightly coat the foil with vegetable oil.

Drain the tofu slices and place them on the foil.

Place under a broiler at a distance of 6-8 inches for about 10 minutes or until slightly browned. Flip the pieces over and a broil the other sides.

Serve hot.




Slice the tofu.


Place the tofu in the marinade.


Place the marinated tofu on the foil-lined sheet.
