Reline your colander with your towel or cheesecloth. You don't need to save the whey so the the colander can just sit in the sink.

Pour the curds and whey into the strainer and let the whey flow through.

Wrap the towel around the curds and press out the remaining whey.

What you now have is fresh tofu that is ready to use.
