Place your colander in a large pot at least as big at the one you boiled the slurry in.

Line the colander with cheese cloth or a linen towel.

Pour the slurry into the colander and let the soymilk flow into the container below it.

pick up the towel and ring out as much soymilk as you can.

Hint: Since the soymilk is still hot, press on the towel while it is in the colander using a jar.

Save the soybean pulp. It is called "okara" and is a nutritious addition to cookies, breads, and stir-fried vegetables.


Pouring the slurry into the strainer.


Squeeze out all the liquid.
