Precisionist Series

Skid, 2022, graphite and pastel on paper, 15" x 22".

Skid provides another industrial subject full of geometric shapes. The origin of this object is a set of insulated piping equipment mounted on a structural steel platform, a skid, to be transported to a geothermal project in southern California. I drew the structural aspects in monochrome and used pastel to emphasize how light travels through the maze of piping.
