Mosaics

The art of mosaics goes back to 3000 BC and has been used for function as well as decoration ever since. It is usually composed of pieces of colored ceramic tiles that are set into a adhesive base on a solid medium with a grout applied into the spaces between the tiles. I became interested in mosaics as another form of mark-making in my pursuit of expending my drawing skills.
