Precisionist Series

Sugar Beets, 2022, graphite and colored pencil on paper, 30" x 22".

Sugar Beets is a reconstruction of a view of the sugar beet factory in Billings, MT. The presence of cylindrical shapes with nearby cubes makes it a natural for the application of Precisionist principles in this interpretation. Light is rendered in geometric patterns with the smoke or steam emitting from the stacks providing an organic interest.
